Practical Leased Time Tip of the Day

Good judgment is the essence of good leadership.   If  all problems were identical, judgment would be a science not an art.

How do you make a good judgment?  Since making a judgment is not a science, problems you encounter are different from each other.  So is the way you handle the problem.  What might work for one person; may not work for you.  The same goes for how you solve the problem.  However, the final results should be solving the problem in a positive manner.

When making a judgment on solving a problem several things must be considered.  First, you must continually assess your areas to keep a handle on what's going on.  You can't just sit and wait for a problem to happen.  You must no your organization.  Know the goals to be achieved, the teams within the organization and the button pushers.  Then, when a judgment has to be made, you will have the essentials to make a positive decision.
